Samy, We make every effort to ensure portability and the UPC runtime builds on nearly every platform we've tried, including sparc-solaris and {x86,alpha}-FreeBSD platforms that we have access to (see gasnet/README in the Berkeley UPC distibution for a complete list). There is apparently some key difference between the platforms we have tested and the ones you and Konstantin are using. We are very interested in fixing these issues in our next release. Since you say you've already encounted this and other issues in your FreeBSD port, could you please submit a bug report (http://upc-bugs.lbl.gov/bugzilla). Patches for changes you've made can be attached to the bug report after it has been created. -Paul Samy Bahra wrote: > Unfortunately, the runtime's build framework/portability is rather lacking.
